A premiere.
A first physical chapter.

Vicious Magazine places Hold Me at the centre of a story built around voice, melody and emotion — while SALP 001 gives that story a physical form.

01 · THE PREMIERE

Emotion is not decoration.
It is the structure.

On 24 August 2026, Vicious Magazine premiered Hold Me by Phil Rodriguez. Masterfully shaped by Luis V, alias Modern Phase, the feature recognises what defined the record from the beginning: a vocal presence that does not sit above the production, but carries its narrative.

HANA extends that intention visually. She is not presented as a documentary figure, but as the human and artistic presence of Hold Me. Ibiza provides the light, the distance and the suspended atmosphere from which the project draws its emotional language.

02 · THE OBJECT

SALP 001.
An inevitable step, cut into matter.

“After everything this journey has taught me, SALP 001 felt inevitable.”

I wanted to push every choice further: a strong, immediately recognisable artwork, then the right people around the record — chosen for their standards and their ability to preserve its character from mastering to the final pressing.

Mastering & lacquer cut · London

Matt Colton

The three tracks are entrusted to Grammy-winning engineer Matt Colton for vinyl mastering and lacquer cutting. His electronic lineage reaches from R&S remasters for Josh Wink and Model 500 to work with Aphex Twin, Drexciya and Autechre. The intention is precise: protect weight, movement and space before the music reaches the press.

Pressing · Haarlem, The Netherlands

Record Industry

Following the recommendation passed on by the Metropolis team, the Dutch plant was chosen with one objective: preserve the depth, dynamics and organic body carried by the mastering and lacquer. Founded in Haarlem in 1958, Record Industry brings galvanics, pressing and sleeve production together under one roof.
